Photo Shoot With My Sister...

Mommy took a bunch of photos for my 6-week photo shoot. You may recognize some of these from my baby announcement.

She woke me up out of a deep sleep.

This is my suspicious face.

This is me "singing."

And this is my sweet smile.

Amelia couldn't stand that I was getting all the attention. So she joined in. Can you tell we look a lot alike?

Rolling Over!

As some of you know, I might be small, but I'm strong! I rolled over for the first time when I was 5 weeks old at Auntie Lauren and Uncle Josh's house, where I rolled to my left twice! It took another 3 weeks for Mommy to catch it on camera... but just after I had rolled to my left, I rolled to my right!

WATCH ME GROW!

Remember how Mommy did monthly chair pictures for my big sister? She's doing the same thing for me, but with a different background! Come back and visit this post to watch me grow!

Five-week photo shoot!

Mommy finally got her act together and gave me an official photo shoot! Happy 5 weeks, everybody!

Amelia tells me lots of secrets.

I am kind of a worrier.

And lots of things about this world are puzzling...

What is this world coming to?

I think I'll just be me...

In other news, I have some pretty great aunties. My auntie Lauren came over one evening just to love on me...

And she found out that I'm ticklish!!

The Fourth and Fifth Weeks (Or, How I got to be one month old!)

Life is still A-OK with me.

Sneezing.

I have a lot to say for a four-week-old.

My Cabbage Patch kid impersonation.

I'm official! Bring on the trust fund...

This is my favorite chair.

Yawning.

Another sneeze.

What are you looking at?

Mommy finally caught my smile on camera!

Ivy's Third & Fourth Weeks

This is what I do best. And often. Mom had to look up normal sleep for newborns to make sure I was normal. I am, but just barely. I have slept up to 20 hours a day these few weeks.

I'm LONG!

Big fan of lounging, I am.

Hello, world! This upright thing is nice!

Whatchu talkin' 'bout, Mia?

I frequently contemplate the world's big problems. I could've told them how to plug that Gulf gusher, but nobody asked me.

Staring at my awesome mobile. And smiling!
I smile a ton but have mostly managed to avoid it getting captured on camera.

See how angelic I can be?

Ivy's Second Week

Not too many pictures this week because I broke out with a crazy case of newborn acne (so crazy even the pediatrician commented!). Then Mommy realized she could use the "retouch" tool on her photos so you can see my inner beauty, and she started snapping away again. It's getting better, so by next week Mommy won't have to be so deceitful... and I won't have to be camera-shy!

I love hanging out in my crib - my big sister handed down her African mobile so I could enjoy it! (8 days old)

I spend a lot (I mean a LOT) of time sleeping. Especially during the day, to my parents' chagrin. (10 days old)

Did I mention I spend a lot of time sleeping? (11 days old)

I am occasionally awake, and I spend my time mulling over the world's problems. When I am bigger I will fix them all.

My big sister wanted to do what my Mommy and Daddy always do to calm me down. (2.5 weeks old)

It worked.

For a little while.

Big sisters are a lot to handle!

I make this face a lot.

My big sister is fond of "going to sleep" anywhere and everywhere. She made a bed on the floor for us and tucked me in. It was fun!

I'm enjoying this life thing.

Mostly. (Mommy thinks I look like my Pops here a little bit)
